The few jobs that matter, and why
Every night Vercro checks each bed against your postcode’s forecast and how far each crop has got. In the morning, Today shows what’s worth doing. When the jobs are done, it says so.

It says “about” when it’s estimating, and asks you to look rather than guessing. In the app, a finishing bed reads like this:

Is Vercro really free?
Yes. Free is a plan, not a free trial: there is no card to enter and no countdown. You get up to 3 gardens or allotments, unlimited crops, beds and seasons, Today every morning, the Garden plan and your Record.
What does Pro add?
Unlimited gardens and allotments, 300 Ask Vercro questions a month instead of 25, and 30 Plant Checks a month instead of 5. Everything else is the same on both plans.
Isn’t this just a planting calendar?
A calendar tells everyone the same thing on the same day. Vercro keeps a record of your beds, what is in them and how far along it is, so each morning’s jobs are about your garden.
Is this AI?
Not a chatbot that starts from nothing. The daily jobs come from your beds, your postcode’s forecast and plain crop, pest and disease rules, each with a short reason. Plant Check, Ask Vercro and the full Why today? explanation are written with AI, which can be wrong.
Will it nag me?
No. Vercro does not send push notifications at the moment and there are no streaks. Open Today when it suits you; when nothing needs doing, it says so. Email comes only when something in your garden is worth knowing, and never more than twice a week.
Is it on my phone?
Yes. Vercro works in your phone’s browser at app.vercro.com, and you can add it to your home screen. There are also iPhone and Android apps; the newest version of Vercro reaches the web app first.
