Where the answers come from
Every tool reads Vercro's own curated crop catalogue and uses the same decision code as the Garden plan in the Vercro web app, so the answer here matches the answer in the app.
Sowing months are a national UK calendar. Where a tool needs your first autumn frost, you can enter the date you usually expect it, or add your postcode and we fill in your area's typical date from 30 years of Met Office records, using only the first half of the postcode. The postcode also times frost-tender crops such as runner beans and courgettes for your area.
