"We built Vercro to help people grow better โ€” not to harvest your data."

01

Who we are

Vercro is an AI-powered garden planning app designed to help people plan and manage their gardens. Vercro is operated by Vercro Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.

Vercro Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC113623.

If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@vercro.com.

02

What information we collect

When you create an account: your name and email address, your postcode, country, and other location data you provide (to provide localised growing advice and weather data), and authentication data via Google OAuth if you sign in with Google.

When you use the app: crops you add including sow dates and growing locations, tasks you complete or skip, harvest logs including yield and quality ratings, your garden areas and bed layouts, and observations you record about your crops.

Automatically: last active date and time (used to suppress irrelevant notifications), device push notification token (if you enable push notifications), and basic usage data such as app interactions, feature usage, and error logs.

03

How we use your information

We collect personal data that is necessary to provide and improve the Vercro service.

We use your data to: generate your personalised daily task plan, send you push notifications and email reminders about your garden, provide and improve growing recommendations over time, monitor app performance and fix bugs, and contact you about your account if needed.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising purposes.

We do not use your personal data to train external AI models. AI-generated outputs are used to provide recommendations and may not always be accurate โ€” they are intended as guidance, not professional advice.

04

Push notifications and emails

If you enable push notifications, we send daily reminders about tasks due in your garden. You can disable these at any time in the app settings or your device settings.

We send automated emails including: account confirmation emails, onboarding guidance, task reminders and growing tips, and re-engagement emails if you haven't used the app for a while.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in all marketing emails.

05

Who we share your data with

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Vercro. Each provider processes personal data only as necessary to provide its services to us. We have data processing agreements in place where required.

Our service providers include: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (app hosting), Stripe (payment processing for web subscriptions), Apple App Store and Google Play (in-app subscription billing for native apps), RevenueCat (subscription management for native apps), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (AI-powered task generation), OpenWeather (local weather data), Google OAuth (sign-in, if used), Sentry (error monitoring and crash reporting), and OneSignal (push notification delivery). We do not store payment card details โ€” these are handled securely by Stripe, Apple, or Google depending on the platform used.

Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses.

We may disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.

06

Data storage and security

We store personal data using trusted service providers including Supabase and other infrastructure providers listed in this policy. All data is encrypted in transit. Access to your data is restricted and controlled, and is not visible to other users.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. No system is 100% secure โ€” if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@vercro.com.

07

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable timeframe. Some minimal records may be retained where required for legal, security, or financial reporting purposes. Anonymised aggregate data (e.g. which crops are most popular) may be retained for product improvement purposes.

08

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and data, receive a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format (portability), and object to certain types of processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@vercro.com and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable data protection law.

09

Cookies

Vercro currently uses essential cookies only โ€” these are required for the app to function (authentication sessions). We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies.

10

Children

Vercro is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
