Free and Pro

Is Vercro really free?

Yes. Free is a plan, not a free trial: there is no card to enter and no countdown. You get up to 3 gardens or allotments, unlimited crops, beds and seasons, Today every morning, the Garden plan and your Record.

What does Pro add?

Unlimited gardens and allotments, 300 Ask Vercro questions a month instead of 25, and 30 Plant Checks a month instead of 5. Everything else is the same on both plans.

How much is Pro?

£4.99 a month or £39 a year, including VAT, when you subscribe in the web app at app.vercro.com. If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, the store shows you its own price before you pay.

What happens when I reach a monthly limit?

Free includes 25 Ask Vercro questions and 5 Plant Checks a month. Pro includes 300 questions and 30 Plant Checks a month. If you use them up, they come back on the 1st of the next month (UK time). Today, the Garden plan and your Record keep working as normal.

Can I cancel Pro?

Yes, whenever you like. Pro carries on until the end of the period you have paid for, and then your account is on Free. Your gardens, crops and Record stay where they are.

Can I use it for an allotment and a garden at home?

Yes. Each garden or allotment has its own postcode, beds and crops. Free covers up to 3; Pro has no limit.

Using Vercro

Isn’t this just a planting calendar?

A calendar tells everyone the same thing on the same day. Vercro keeps a record of your beds, what is in them and how far along it is, so each morning’s jobs are about your garden.

Is this AI?

Not a chatbot that starts from nothing. The daily jobs come from your beds, your postcode’s forecast and plain crop, pest and disease rules, each with a short reason. Plant Check, Ask Vercro and the full Why today? explanation are written with AI, which can be wrong.

Will it nag me?

No. Vercro does not send push notifications at the moment and there are no streaks. Open Today when it suits you; when nothing needs doing, it says so. Email comes only when something in your garden is worth knowing, and never more than twice a week.

Do I have to measure my beds?

No. Add your beds and crops and Today works straight away. If you add bed sizes (roughly is fine), the Garden plan draws those beds to scale; beds without a size wait to one side until you do.

Is it on my phone?

Yes. Vercro works in your phone’s browser at app.vercro.com, and you can add it to your home screen. There are also iPhone and Android apps; the newest version of Vercro reaches the web app first.

Does it work outside the UK?

Vercro is built for gardeners in the UK: UK postcodes, UK sowing windows and temperatures in °C. You can sign up from elsewhere, but its sowing calendar will still be the UK one.
