Deleting your account

At a glance
- A web subscription is cancelled when you delete. An App Store or Google Play subscription is not: cancel that in your store settings.
- Delete in the app (Profile, then Closing your account, then Delete account), or email us from the address on your account.
- Your garden, photos and conversations are deleted straight away. Payment records we must keep for tax are kept.
01Before you delete
In short: Cancel any App Store or Google Play subscription, and ask us for a copy of your data if you want one.
- Web subscription: nothing to do. Deleting your account cancels it straight away, and it will not renew.
- App Store: iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Google Play: Play Store, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions.
- Want a copy of your garden records first? Email us and we will send one.
02How to delete
In short: In the app, or by email if you can't get into the app.
- In Vercro on the web, iPhone or Android: Profile, then Closing your account, then Delete account.
- Or email hello@vercro.com with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address on your account. If you can't, tell us and we will find another way to check it is you. We delete within one month, usually much sooner, and confirm by email.
03What is deleted and what we keep
In short: Almost everything goes straight away. A few copies need a request, and billing records stay for tax.
- Deleted straight away: your account, locations, beds, crops, tasks, harvests, notes, photos, Plant Check history, Ask Vercro conversations and notification settings.
- Kept because the law requires it: records of payments and invoices, for six years.
- Not yet removed automatically: your customer record at Stripe, RevenueCat and OneSignal, your analytics in PostHog, your address in our email provider's records, our log of emails sent to you (delivery, opens and clicks), any early waitlist entry, some internal records that hold only your account's id number, and the text of feedback you sent (no longer linked to your account). Ask us when you delete, or at any time after, and we will remove them within one month.
